So What Exactly IS It?
If you have cellulite it you will know it can be seen in the top of the skin. This is evident by skin dimpling and mostly effects women. We officially first heard about it from a book as late in the 1920’s. It didn’t really get any coverage after that as the world was at war and there were more important things going on. 9/10 women after puberty are thought to have cellulite. The main area effected is the buttocks, legs and stomach. It can also be present in men and as the obesity rate keeps rising so does the amount of men effected.
The Causes Of Cellulite
The actual cause is still not understood and it can come from several different sources. Hormones have been shown to play a part in the development. Estrogen has been proven to play a part in cellulite. Dr Enzo Emanuele has also traced the genetic component down and now has shown that genetics also has a part to play. Unfortunately there is not a lot you can do about genetics however there are some causes that are more in your control.
There is one big factor that we have full control over and that is the food that we put in to our body, our diet. The main problem is that people get in to bad habits with the food they eat. It also doesn’t help that there is so much rubbish on our street corners and being advertised all over TV. The amount of exercise that you do on a daily basis can be a big cause of cellulite. The simple point to make is that if you are not in the habit of doing any exercise you will have a higher chance of getting cellulite. As I mentioned earlier there is still known ‘cure’ for cellulite at the moment. The good news is that there are proven methods that reduce appearance of cellulite.
